Spring Term 2019

Essential Knowledge

By the end of this unit children will know...

  • How to use maps, atlases, globes and digital/computer mapping to locate areas of extreme heat and cold.
  • How to explain why some areas are very cold and some very hot.
  • How to describe and understand what life is like in those places for people, animals and vegetation.

Seesaw

We have started using an app called Seesaw to share learning with families.

Please make sure you've asked for a log on so that you can see what we've been doing in class.

Homework

From September, we'll be changing the format of our homework.  Your child will have half a term to collect five POWer points (or more).  Please look at the documents below and decide with your child which they'd like to do.  All of them are related to the topic.

Please hand the homework on 11th February

Thank you

Useful websites

Here are links to the websites we use regularly in school.  Please send us a Seesaw message if you'd like a reminder of your child's log on.

PE

PE will be on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

Please make sure that your child has PE kit in school on those days.

Thank you

Parent Pay

From September, we will be using Parent Pay as the main system for paying for school meals (KS2), clubs and trips.   You will be receiving further information when the system is set up.

We won't be receiving any cash into school once Parent Pay is up and running.

Please see Mrs Morton if you would like some help setting Parent Pay up on your phone.

Thank you
