Meeting with a Governor

The children met with Mrs Shaw at the start of term to talk about what a governor does in school.  She asked them lots of questions about the school and spent some time on the playground.

We are working hard to make sure that the children understand the role of a school Governor.  Lots of governors have already been into school this term to participate in celebrations, spend time with the children and talk with the staff about what our priorities for this year are.

Improving school meals

We discovered that a lot of children were not choosing to have a school dinner on a 'no-meat Monday'.  Mrs Jury came to meet with the school council to look carefully at the menu.  As a result, the menu has been changed slightly and a lot of children are now having a cooked lunch on a Monday.  She will be coming back before Christmas to look at the Spring Term's menu with the children.
